The Covid 19 virus has impacted the operations of the Kiwanis Club. We were unable to have any meetings for several months. We have lately been able to meet with social distancing restrictions.
We have officially decided that for the foreseeable future we will not pick up donations of furniture or household goods from occupied homes. Therefore, we will be opening the storage barn weekly, on Tuesday evenings from 4-6 pm to receive donations. Or, you can call 757-894-1795 to make other arrangements. Masks are required.
If prior arrangements are made, we can still pick up donations from vacant homes or items outside of homes.
Please DO NOT drop off furniture or household items at the Kiwanis Barn without someone there to accept the items.
Donations left outside are often damaged by the weather, making your donation worthless.
We are unable to accept the following:
- Damaged/Broken items
- Items missing parts
- Items that are badly stained
- NO mattresses
- NO sheets or bedding
- NO clothing
- NO Hide-a-bed sofas
Please understand, we can only accept items that are in good condition and sellable.
